In the heart of downtown Madison, beneath the grand marble columns of the State Capitol, Besa and Val exchanged vows in the most timeless way - intentionally, and surrounded by the city they’ve built their life in together.
After celebrating their wedding abroad in Macedonia the year before, this intimate civil ceremony was a beautiful continuation of their story - a moment to honor where life has taken them and the home they’ve created.
We began the afternoon at their downtown flat, capturing moments during their getting ready, a champagne toast and cake cutting, and then the journey from their steps to the Capitol. From there, they celebrated with their loved ones surrounded by the city in which they're building their life and after we journeyed to the lake, letting the movement and architecture guide us.
